Acceptance of FY 2025 Fire Prevention & Safety (FP&S) Grant Award and Cost Allocations
Recommended Action
Approve a Resolution to accept the Fiscal Year 2025 Fire Prevention & Safety Grant award in the amount of $1,074,669.59; authorize the City Manager or designee to execute documents and take administrative actions necessary to implement the award, consistent with the approved grant scope; authorize the addition of the following Limited-Term positions to the Fire Department as of October 2026: 1 FT Administrative Analyst - Limited Term (2 years), 3 FT Fire Inspector positions - Limited Term (2 years); adopt the following appropriations: increase the Salaries & Benefits to the Fire Department in the amount of $14,176 in FY 2026/27 and $53,677.20 in FY 2027/28; increase the Supplies & Materials to the Fire Department in the amount of $1,750.75 in FY 2026/27 and $402.50 in FY 2027/28; increase the Services budget to the Fire Department in the amount of $1,060 in FY 2026/27; and increase estimate for Revenue from the Federal Government by $1,074,669.59.
